In practice it is a key advantage, if there is nothing to adjust or calibrate on the equipment.
Those, who are hiking like me with a backpack, tripod, camera and an impatient entourage, do know why.
With the Fisheye lens, there is even no need to use the viewfinder.
Setting up the tripod, leveling the panorama head, taking four shots and store all ready to march again does not even take three minutes in total.
However, David... and KISS always remain mounted on the tripod, which is externally attached to the backpack.
The desin of the nodal point adapter KISS and the Panorama head David... are compliant with Fisheye lenses. Means, only a very small area of KISS is captured in the nadir, while David ... is completely invisible on the images.
So there is no need to patch the nadir in most cases.
